Cooking is one of my favorite things to do so I thought it would be fun to swap pot holders or oven mitts. Each person will send a pot holder or oven mitt to their partner. It will be senders choice but if your partner collects a certain thing or maybe has a theme in their kitchen it might be nice to get something like that.

Plz clarufy---Isn't ths a type 3 swap?
A potholder/ovenmitt is not flat...it is bulky so therefore a package.

I think that your could fit a oven mitt or pot holder. in a medium size envelope.

my kitchen is decorated in turquoise, gray and yellow. is it okay to ask for something in one of those colors?

I think that either homemade or bought would be great. Anything is appropriate. It is senders choice but if your partner has anything that they like maybe try to do that but otherwise anything will great! This is the first one for me to host but I jsut want to to be laid back and fun! =)
