I want postcards!!!

  • Mail one postcard to each of your 7 partners.
  • Postcards should show your city/town/state or a local attraction
  • Handmade or store-bought
  • on the back write your swap-bot name, swap name AND one or two sentences regarding whatever is displayed on the card... for example, on the back of a card from downtown Reno, NV I could write "there's always a traffic jam when a train pulls thru the middle of town" or "the best hamburgers in the world are at the little diner on the right." [this is the plus part]

You can alter the picture if you want, draw a circle around something, X something out, color something red. Whatever. Just something little to personalize it BUT THIS IS NOT A REQUIREMENT. The idea is to send a tiny little piece of you and to have fun.

I think sending the postcard itself thru the mail is best, but if you think otherwise then send it however you see fit, just send it :) [although, it must be a real postcard, no e-cards]

Newbies are welcome with a complete profile. I am not setting a rating requirement since I will angel if required. Known flakers will be banned. If you have had recent no-sends please PM me with an explanation when joining.

I sent out an email last night, thinking it was the last day of sign up's. A few more people have joined and some are new to swapbot so ...

Please do not rate your partner a 1 if you have not receive their postcard when you start getting rating notices [two weeks after the swap closes] postcards get lost most often in the mail and mail from other contries takes a long time to arrive [some times mails from the next street over takes a long time to arrive]

After two weeks if you have not received a card PM your partner and let them know it didn't arrive. Also, PM me and I will send out a card to you. If you do recive my card before your partners, do not rate your partner until you receive their card. While it is important to be generous with time, it is also important to rate accurately.

If I do send you an extra card you will not be able to rate me, and thats fine; I'm just a dork with a roll of postcard stamps and I like to use them :)

I have a (probably silly) newbie question. Is it ok to mail the cards on Monday or am I supposed to wait until January 25 to mail them?

Hey Penny. Since I'm a second time around newbie. :) January 25 is the ENDING date of the swap meaning that all postcards should be sent out by that date. You can start sending right away if you want. :D Have fun & Happy Swapping!

I received all my postcards! But one person has not as of yet given me a rating. The postcard is going to Germany, so I will be patient. :-)
