In my most recent issue of Cloth, Paper, Scissors there is an article about making round paperboard ornaments. I thought these would be super simple for us to create and, that they could just as easily be tags as ornaments. So: take a round paperboard/chipboard circle (cut from a tissue box, a cereal box, or plain)-about 3 or 4" should do it. :) Decorate the front side with paper scraps, lace bits, tissue papers, paint, beads, etc., etc. We are just making a small collage piece, really. No rules or special themes.:) Paint or otherwise decorate the back side if it is plain or ugly. :p Punch a hole in the top, use an eyelet for security if needed, thread a ribbon or yarn, etc. for hanging. Send this off to your partner and you are done! If this goes well I will keep this going and increase the quantity of tags to maybe 6 at a time? I want us to all take baby steps, though! :p Happy swapping! | |
