Photo Pocket Letters are the latest snail mail craze, so I thought it would be fun to do a photo pocket letter. Pocket letters have been popularized by Janette Lane and they truly are a fun to make, give, and receive. For this swap, you will send one partner a pocket letter. You will use a storebought nine-pocket trading card protector--this is the 8.5 x 11 size that fits inside a regular 3-ring binder. Fill the pockets as follows:
If you want to learn more about pocket letters or if you need a little inspiration, check out Janette Lane's blog (linked above) or my blog post, "Nine Little Pockets of Happy." Fold your pocket letter and place inside a business-size envelope. Be sure to reinforce the envelope so contents aren't lost along the way. I typically wrap clear packing tape around the entire envelope. Pocket letters are a little more expensive to mail, but they're typically $1.50-2.00 to mail within the USA. For that reason, the swap is USA-only. However, if enough individuals outside the USA is interested in a photo pocket letter swap, I am more than happy to set up an international version of the swap. Because of the time involved in creating a pocket letter and the expense of mailing it, I'm setting the rating requirement at 4.98 with no unexplained 1's and/or 3's in the last three months. | |
