Hi ATC is an artist trading card. It is 2 1⁄2 by 3 1⁄2 inches and you literally just decorate it however you want. (usually based on the theme of the swap) see this page for more info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artisttradingcards

For you newbies asking about ATCS I've been doing them about 7yrs now and when I started I had no clue to what I was doing but I promise you you'll love them and they are addictive.
