Silly question, I know, but is the idea to send an amusing postcard to each recipient (that is, put a stamp on it and mail it), or to put the postcard into an envelope and send it so they can use it themselves later?

When I join a post card swap I expect it to be a swap where it is sent through the mail as a post card not in an envelope. Unless specified in the instructions that it is to be sent in an envelope. I will not join those that are sent in an envelope. I don't know what these people are actually doing with these cards if they are the one's sending them to someone else. Too many things can go wrong with that senario. I'm sorry but I used to do back ground investigations, surveilance, etc. So if this is a swap where it is to be mailed in an envelope please specify and I will opt out.

Beckra: I got your postcard today. Very nice. I thought it was a quilt at first glance, but later saw it was watercolor. I also liked the postage stamp. I have not seen this one until now. I had thought about buying some but just realized the rate is going up again in May so I guess I might as well wait! I thought it also interesting that the postcard I recevied from China today (Postcrossing.com) also was covered with flowers. Spring has Sprung! (At least in our minds. It has been drizziling rain all day today on the Oregon Coast.) Thanks again for the card - one coming your way (or as my daughter would say "Back at ya".
