HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US! The rules are very simple. You need to have been born in October. You'll have one partner. Make your partner a specially decorated little birthday box-your choice- matchbox, mint tin, ring box, jujubes box etc. Just make it something you would want to receive on your birthday. Then fill the box with trinkets your partner might like - incense, earrings, charms, beads, lip gloss - whatever! Then add a nice birthday card with a little note.

Due to time constraints and postage, I'm going to keep this to North America only. Lets make this a happy birthday for everyone, so no deadbeats. I'll be checking profiles and forums.

I've got the perfect little box for this! It's hard plastic--a bit bigger than like a candy box, but not TOO big. It'll make somebody a nice little goodie box!

Oh foo... I'm an October baby! But I have no clue as to how to decorate any kind of container... I just know it would look childish! The last time I tried fabric paint on a tote for someone she stopped speaking to me! I HAVE NO ARTISTIC ABILITY! Now if y'all wouldn't mind a box with stickers on it, then I'm in. :) If you have ideas, contact me. I'm October 11th. And I really want to join this! Mutantpenguin, why not knit a little sleeve to slide over a matchbox? Or crochet a flower big enough to cover the lid of a tin? I feel your pain (my drawing ability peaked in elementary school). Anybody who judges your efforts doesn't deserve to play with us, IMHO.

Hey Mutantpenguin... never underestimate the power of Decoupage.... it's easy, fun, maybe like flower arranging- it can be simple and beautiful or extensive and beautiful... check into it, it may be an art worth learning, for us less artistic folk...... :)
