This will coincide with the swap that @Betsi is hosting, since there is an interest in a handmade option.

You will create 1 handmade postcard using the medium(s) of your choice for 1 partner. We'll take the title literally, and make a portrait of the famous geek of your choice - real or fictional. Write a blurb about your geek on the back of the postcard, and don't forget to write your vitals: username / group / swap name.

Sweet! Thanks for hosting this version. I'm way more into making a postcard for this one than finding what I can with a commercial card. I think for the purchased ones the choices are limited to Einstein, 'Big Bang Theory', and a few random others (maybe) - not bad, but I'd so much rather do one for a real geek hero (to me)

Can "portrait" mean "cartoon-y type drawing"? Or should it be realistic?

I would call a portrait anything with a face and bust. So other than that, go in whatever creative direction you like :)
