After having a discussion in the public forums as to the basic criteria for a dotee, it became a general consensus that the original dotees criteria is as follows:

  • A rectangle (may be rounded on head if desired)
  • 4 inches long
  • A Tail
  • a face
  • lots of embellishments

Personally I prefer hanger because I hang my dotees, I hate to think of them stuffed away only to be seen when I got them out so I hang them, I love to look at them every day

The dotee you make for this swap is senders choice regarding colours etc BUT the previous 5 criteria MUST be adhered to

Great idea! By the way, @neca84 , if you've received a dotee without a hanger, why not just add one yourself? If you felt bad about altering the original dotee, you could add it with a safety pin so that it's removable.

I just think it's easier for the one making it to put something on it to hang it with. I love to add beads for a hanger. =-)
