It's time for another Michaels swap! I l-o-v-e the $1 bins at Michaels. One can find bling, stamps, ink pads, bookmarks, notecards, journals, ribbon and much, much more! For this swap, you will hit the $1 bins at Michaels (or Hobby Lobby or the craft store in your area) and select 5 items for your 1 partner. While this swap is not strictly profile specific, check your partner's profile and make sure you're not purchasing a bunch of bookmarks for a person who doesn't read. Go for variety. There's so much to choose from! Package your items and ship to your partner. Include a "hello" note with your swap name and the name of the swap. Have fun!

The rules: 10 completed and rated mail swaps (Types 2 & 3). 4.9 rating required and a well-filled out profile. Lower ratings require explanation for ones and threes. Send me a private message.

Please note: This is not a swap for $1 store goodies. While there might be some great things at $1 stores, many people don't like $1 store items.

I get so ticked with the fact that what is $1 in the US Michaels, is $1.50 in Canada even though our dollar is still higher!

@ toothteri -- that is a curiosity, perhaps it has to do with the shipping costs, import taxes from your country, etc. that raises the cost, and not necessarily a reflection of the value of the canadian dollar vs. the US dollar?

@tootheri -Also, I learned with the last Michaels $1 bin swap that some of the Michaels here in the U.S. have raised the $1 bins to $1.50.

Yeah, all the Michaels stores around my neck of the woods have raised them to $1.50...they try and make it seem better by writing 2/$3 on them haha!

Even though Target isn't a "craft" store, I've found some good crafty items in their $1/$2 bins--I just found some rubber stamps and note pads in my local Target's bins. Just an idea as another place to look!

@catnipitis -Be careful about the Target items. I've purchased some of those $1 bin items in the past. Some are great quality--others not.
