Hi from Nova Scotia, Canada!

I’m excited to learn about swap-bot. I love sending and receiving things in the mail, learning about other people and places, getting inspiration and creativity flowing!

I live in a very small town in Nova Scotia with my spouse and teenager. We have a dog and three cats. Our house is surrounded by trees, I feel very lucky for that! I love being outdoors, making things, and traveling.

I spend my time hiking, biking, trail running, reading, embroidering. I love movies and series. I’m always up for an adventure, but also love cozy days with a cup of tea. Oh yeah, and I love to eat!

I love things that are simple, minimalist, and natural… or over-the-top, neon, ridiculous. And things that are in between- lush, jewel tones, rich fabrics. Things that are cute, funny, thought-provoking, or strange. Really, I feel like I am a curious and positive person, so I will be happy with pretty much anything!

• anything herbs, plants, fruits, veggies, gardens
• natural fibres, printmaking, etching, fibre art, surface design, beeswax;
• anything wilderness/nature (forests, landscapes, leaves, seeds, sand, pebbles, favourite things where you live);
• strange things you’ve found on a walk;
• vintage fabrics, fashions, old labels, vintage graphic design, old sewing notions;
• Food themes (any desserts, especially chocolate things, beautifully decorated cakes etc; food from your region or culture; fruits, vegetables; teas; wild herbs)

*** Most of all: something that catches your eye or is meaningful to you; something that gives you a feeling of awe or wonder; something you find funny or weird; something you are grateful for, makes you amazed, makes you feel happy and alive :)
